எத்தனை துன்பம் துயரம் வந்து
பக்தனை தேற்றிடும் ஒளஷதம்
1.நித்தம் விரும்பும் கர்த்தர் வசனம்
சுத்த பசும்பொன் தெளிந்திடும் தேன்
இதயம் மகிழும் கண்கள் தெளியும்
இருண்ட ஆத்துமா உயிரடையும்
2.பேதைகளிடம் ஞானம் அருளும்
தேவ புத்தகம் மேன்மை தரும்
இரவும் பகலும் இதன் தியானம்
இனிமை தங்கும் தனிமையிலும்
3.வேதப் பிரியர் தேவப் புதல்வர்
சேதமடையா நடத்திடுவார்
இலைகள் உதிரா மரங்கள் போல
இவர்கள் நல்ல கனி தருவார்
4.உள்ளம் உதிக்கும் உறுதி அளிக்கும்
கள்ளங் கபடெல்லாம் அகற்றும்
கடிந்து கொள்ளும் கறைகள் போக்கும்
கனமடைய வழி நடத்தும்
5.கர்த்தர் வசனம் வல்ல சம்மட்டி
கன்மலையையும் நொறுக்கிடுமே
இதய நினைவை வகையாய் அறுக்கும்

The Holy Bible is the song of the believers,
It is the lamp upon the path where the saints walk.
It points the way to the perfect path,
And serves as the healing medicine that comforts the believer, no matter how much grief and sorrow comes.
Stanza 1
The Word of the Lord is to be desired daily,
It is like pure, refined gold and sweet, flowing honey.
The heart rejoices and the eyes become clear,
While the darkened soul receives brand new life.
Stanza 2
It grants wisdom and understanding to the simple-minded,
This Divine Book bestows great honor and excellence.
Meditating upon it day and night,
Brings deep sweetness, even in times of loneliness.
Stanza 3
Those who love the Scriptures are the children of God,
He will guide them safely so they will never suffer harm.
Like trees whose leaves never wither,
They will seasonably yield good and bountiful fruit.
Stanza 4
It arises within the heart and grants strong assurance,
While casting away all deceit, malice, and hypocrisy.
It rebukes us gently and cleanses all our stains,
Leading us carefully on the path to high honor.

The Word of the Lord is like a mighty hammer,
It is powerful enough to shatter even the hardest rock.
It discerningly pierces and judges the thoughts of the heart,
For it is sharper than any two-edged sword.

The heavens will pass away and the earth will perish,
But the Word of the Scriptures will endure forever.
The law of the Most High is my precious treasure,
